Heating
Efficient heating, built into your air conditioning
Suitable air conditioning systems don't just cool — they provide efficient heating too, from the same equipment, so your space stays comfortable whatever the season.
How it works
One system. Two genuine jobs.
Suitable air conditioning systems work as heat pumps, and heat pumps can run in reverse. In summer, the system moves heat out of a room to cool it. In winter, it moves heat into the room instead — genuine, efficient heating from the same indoor and outdoor units already doing the cooling.
Where it works well
Suited to homes and businesses alike
This approach works well anywhere cooling and heating both matter, from a single room to a whole property.
Bedrooms & home offices
Comfortable temperatures year-round, without a separate heating system for the room.
Garden rooms & conservatories
Spaces that are usually the hardest to keep comfortable — too hot in summer, too cold in winter.
Whole-home installations
Cooling and heating handled from the same set of units across the property.
Shops & offices
Comfortable working and trading conditions, whatever the season.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Does SPS install boilers or traditional central heating?
No. We don’t install, service or repair gas boilers or traditional wet central-heating systems (radiators fed by a boiler). The heating we offer comes specifically from suitable air-conditioning and heat-pump technology — see home air conditioning, commercial air conditioning, or how installation works.
How does an air conditioning unit provide heat?
Suitable systems work as heat pumps: they can run in reverse, moving heat into a room rather than out of it. The same indoor and outdoor units used for summer cooling provide winter heating.
Is this the same as underfloor heating or radiators?
No — it’s a different type of system entirely, typically heating the air in a room directly via the same unit used for cooling, rather than heating water that’s circulated through pipes or radiators.
